This part of the forum looked lonely so I thought I would share my latest aquisition. The axe was made by the fine folks at A&A for me. I do not have the particulars but I will post them if anyone is interested.

A picture with it buddy who followed it to my house.

(Gasp) Oooooh! I like them both, but especially the axe. How does it handle?

That looks like a tough melon-splitter, sir. How's the weight, and how sturdy is that wrapping on the grip?

Eric,
Thank you. It seems to handle well in light useage in the house. I have to get an exact weight but I can tell you it is not very heavy at all. Around 2.5 punds would be my best guess.

Joseph,
The warpping is pretty sturdy. A&A actually made the handle narrower in the area of the wrap so that is sits level with the rest of the haft. A nice little touch as opposed to just putting it on the haft and allowing it to be able to slide off.

That is a nice touch... I'm surprised so few people seem to think of it (based on my meager experience with axes). Have you had a chance to kill any defenseless inanimate objects with it?

Or failing that, any chickens?
